the hotel was listed as a traditional hotel and it was that. It would be very helpful in locating the hotel if you spoke greek or were familiar with the city. The rooms were very nice and clean. the owner was helpful.

the hotel was difficult to locate. Our not speaking or reading greek was a significant problem for us. i would describe the hotel location as being in a labyrinth as we stayed there 4 days and still had difficulty finding our way back to the hotel on our last day.

Flavor of fresh bread, waking you up in the mornings:) Location is just perfect, right in the middle of old city. Breakfast was really good.

Its a lovely small hotel in the middle of the small bylanes ,and its run by the family who is very friendly .This hotel is very close to the fort . another plus point .all the shopping is around this hotel , and its not a nuisance .

The location is excellent, everything is spotlessly clean, the design is beautiful and the room was air-conditioned. They serve good breakfast every morning and you can check-out until 12 am which is a bonus.

I liked everything, but there are a lots of stairs (and no lift) and that might be a problem for some.

This hotel was situated in the heart of the city's Old Town both the hotel and the Proprieter were excellent in every way, we would love to return to this hotel.

I really enjoyed staying at La Strada Traditional Hotel. This family-run hotel has only a few rooms (with names rather than room-numbers!); I was comfortable, it was clean and attractively furnished and decorated, The bed linen was changed regularly, as were the towels, the bed was comfortable, the shower worked brilliantly, and the TV worked; admittedly there's not a great choice of channels, but that's not what one is in Crete for. La Strada is right in the heart of Old Rethymno, with it's bustling and friendly atmosphere. The breakfast was generous (boiled egg, yoghurt, fruit, tea, coffee, toast, sausage rolls, orange juice, cheese, ham). And it has a roof terrace! An excellent hotel experience.

There was nothing I did not like. No criticisms.

Being in the center of the old town with lots of lovely local restaurants and very near the beach.

Could be noisey at night with people wandering passed.

The hotel design was truly amazing. The staff was friendly and helpful. I actually forgot a pair of shoes in the rush of packing and the hotel made an effort to have those returned to me. Location in the old part of the city was amazing as it allows for a plesant walk around

be careful and do your homework if you are driving to this hotel. Even if you print out google maps it will seem as if some of the streets are car accessible, which they are not. Parking is nearby and the Booked.net site should provide special directions on where to park and walk to the hotel

We stayed in total 12 nights at the La Strada and reflecting on all hotels we have been so far on Crete, this has been the best hotel we have been so far. The location of the hotel is in the middle of the old town with everything in walking distance (shops, harbour, beach, city centre). Usually one would expect, that the pictures used to market a hotel do show off are far away from the reality. In the case of the La Strade it is actaully the opposite. The reality is fare more better than the already excellent pictures. The hotel is very clean and the interior excellent wit a lot of small details. We can only recommend the hotel.

lovely traditional hotel with nice staff and beautiful room and quiet air conditioner. Excellent breakfast served to you rather than buffet which was a treat. Very well situated in the old town and parking available nearby at a reasonable 7e per day.

Shower could do with a fitting to hold it as had to hand hold while showering!

Our second visit to La Strada in twelve months. We cannot speak too highly of the location in the heart of old Rethymnon and the welcome from the owner and staff.

Great location in the old town adjacent to some excellent restaurants, very attractive rooms with old stonework feature walls and very pleasant and helpful owners and family.

Possibility of some outside noise in early hours.

The location of the Hotel was great really in the city center, next to everything. The room was really pretty and comfortable.Breakfast was continental and very good. The owner are very friendly

The location in the center make it complicated to park, but we still found it easily. Also a bit of noise from the street at night.
